The Strokes and Beck top a superlative bill at British Summer Time 2015.
Top US rockers The Strokes make a triumphant headline appearance at this years Summer bash in London’s glittering Hyde Park. Lead singer Julian Casablancas has recently announced that the band are cutting some new music, though there’s no information if an album will be out ahead of the show. Regardless, fans will surely be treated to a couple of new tunes as well as some quality material from the bands back catalogue of hits.
Beck picked up the Rock Grammy award for his last release, the enigmatic ‘Morning Phase’, and he’ll be hoping to transfer that sound into something special in the park. With a range of styles and albums to pick from, he can certainly entertain, anything from classics like ‘Odelay’, ‘Mellow Gold’ and ‘Midnite Vultures’ will go down a storm in London.
Futures Islands broke through in 2014 with their ‘Seasons’ single from the album ‘Singles’ and a mesmerising performance on the ‘David Letterman Show‘ which set the internets and social medias into a flutter. Expect them to be pulling out all the stops on the day.
Bringing up the rest of the bill are some superb acts, well worth checking out, including the melodic, psychedelic, garage infused rock of Temples, Public Service Broadcasting, The Wytches, Hinds, Yak, Kieran Leonard & The Horses and Gengahr.
